      Verdict

      IZVESTIA missed out on a hat-trick of plating race victories when well beaten at Thirsk. But she was up against higher rated horses on that occasion and appeared not to stay the 1m4f. Back over her winning distance with Oisin Murphy on board, she should have the measure of these on today’s terms. An apprentice’s allowance brings Patchouli into the equation though she’s failed to figure since winning at Ripon last month while Um Shama and Maiden Navigator have plenty to find at the weights with the remainder facing even tougher tasks.
