It is hard to be too confident in a race as competitive as this but SIGN OF THE CROSS is taken to just edge this; Support Fund and Stravella head a lengthy list of dangers. The selection is chasing the hat-trick here and there was plenty to like about the way he won at Leicester last time when he beat Sularno. He has changed stables since that win and if his new trainer can find even more improvement then he would have a big chance. Support Fund ran respectably enough last time out, but that was over 7f and she is much better over today's trip. She has to enter calculations, along with Stravella who won her maiden in game style and she now takes her chance in a handicap for the first time. Chris Wall has his string in good form so Grand Vizier could go well at an each-way price, while Singleb returns to the turf after a fruitful spell on the all-weather. There are plenty in with chances but our vote goes to Sign Of The Cross.
