MISS FIREFLY is the form pick to land the opener at the expense of Music Box Express and Pic Up Sticks. The selection caught the eye when finishing second to Peopleton Brook at Goodwood last month. He runs off the same mark this time around and if he can recapture that form he will not be too far away come the business end of the race. Music Box Express finished a fair third of ten at Bath on his penultimate outing and was not discredited when fourth at Folkestone last week. He has won off a similar mark in the past so warrants respect. Pic Up Sticks has not won for two seasons now and as a consequence he has dropped to what looks like a fair mark. At his peak he was rated as high as 91 and even at the age of ten he still has plenty of speed in his legs so any market support should be noted, however, Miss Firefly comes into the race in top form and is takes preference.
