Rio Royale, Quick Single and DEFECTOR are the three to note in this sprint handicap with the last named gaining the clear vote. Defector has yet to show his true colours this season but he did show a decent level of form last year finishing second in a competitive maiden at Newmarket. He runs off what looks like a fair handicap mark and if he reproduces his best form he is sure to go close. Rio Royale won a handicap at Salisbury before failing to follow up with a penalty at Haydock last time out. He does have conditions to suit once again and has performed well off a similar mark in the past so he warrants respect. Quick Single looks weighted to his best at present and will have to run a personal best to score so is possibly best watched for the time being, so for the winner we return to Defector.
