At first glance this looks a very tricky contest, but on closer inspection Plum Pudding has very strong claims and is a confident choice to beat Gillipops and Altilhar. Richard Hannon's colt ran the 81 rated Scot Love very close at Kempton on his return from a seven month break. As the Hannon horses invariably improve with racing he looksa good thing off today's mark. Altilhar was last seen when winning a Lingfield maiden a shade comfortably back in October. The handicapper has been pretty fair and if fit this one should be involved in the finish. However the selection's stable companion Gillipos looks a bigger threat. She won a maiden on the turf at Lingfield in good style, and following a couple of disastrous runs in handicaps is now on a very tempting mark. Miss Wedge is from a yard in form and could do best of the others, but Plum Pudding looks thrown in at the weights and should take first prize.
