Devon Flame has probably the best recent form and should go close here, but we will take a chance on the fitness of Bowness, with Nautical also expected to go well. James Given's four-year-old hit form last summer, winning competitive races at Wolverhjampton and Beverley. She ended the season with a poor effort at Pontefract, but may have been over the top then. She is the type top go well when fresh and looks the best option this evening. Devon Flame stayed on strongly when third to Auwitesweetheart over the five furlong trip here last time and should appreciate this slightly longer distance. Nautical has also been running well, winning over course and distance last month, before finishing an excellent third behind Adantino. The handicapper may just have his measure but he should still be in the firing line. Of the others, Born To Be Bold should be watched closely in the betting, but if Bowness is fit for her return she will be hard to beat.
