Pigeon Island is a sporting selection in a wide open contest, Fleeting Memory and Areyoutalkingtome could be the main rivals. Henry Candy is still not firing on all cylinders, but Pigen Island may be the one to revive his fortunes. This son of Daylami put in two solid efforts on the all-weather last Autumn and should be a much better performer on the turf. Sir Michael Stoute wins more than his fair share of Windsor maidens and Fleeting Memory is expected to show plenty of improvement. In fact she doesn't have to progress too much following a close up sixth in a hot race at Newmarket last September. Meanwhile Areyoutalkingtome has easily the best form from this season having finished an excellent fourth behind Killybegs in the Craven Stakes. Imperial Star is from a top yard that is starting to hit form and should be watched in the market, however the superbly bred Pigeon Island is tentative choice in a very competitive maiden.
