      Verdict

The second division of the maiden has a similar feel to division one with the likes of Birthright, Bold Warrior, Sod's Law and, especially, SILVER QUARTZ (NAP) expected to come on considerably for efforts to date. The latter showed abundant promise first time up behind Just Brilliant at Newmarket over a mile and there is no reason to expect anything other than a progressive three-year-old campaign from this son of Frankel. Alexanderthegreat is a newcomer to note but Bullingdon, the only winner in the field, looks the main danger. He stepped up on a pleasing Newbury debut to out-battle a stable companion next time at Salisbury and should be a leading player if all is well on this first start since August.
