In depth
Verdict
A field large in numbers but low in quality and on closer inspection not many can be given a chance of winning, but the principals look to be Fame, Lunar Colony and Ladies Day and the confident vote goes to Lunar Colony. The colt from the bang in form John Gosden yard was a good second on his debut. He is sure to have learnt from the experience and under similar conditions he will be hard to beat. Fame rates the main danger and was a good third behind Phoenix Reach last time and that form has since been franked. Ladies Day has also shown a modicum of ability but is bred to do better over further, so she may be one to follow next season when handicapped. Of the remainder, Stolen Hours is from a yard that is beginning to hit form so is worth noting in the market, but we are happy to stick with Lunar Colony.
