Dark Shot probably deserves to win a race like this but he's had a few chances and was a beaten favourite when second at Salisbury last time, his eighth defeat over this trip. Anna Barkova was also market leader last time, at Redcar, but failed to build on a promising start at that track. Angie's Girl was placed three times last year but two runs this season have not reached that standard. RAISING SAND was given plenty to do here on his reappearance and not punished once his chance had gone. He probably has more scope than the majority of these and can make in third-time lucky.
