Things didn't quite work out for OPEN WATER last year but this is a big drop in grade and he apparently goes well fresh. If anywhere near the form that saw his chase home Epsom Derby runner-up Main Sequence as a two-year-old, he'd make short work of these. Sheila's Buddy was second at Newbury last month and is consistent, though is still creeping up the weights, while Poetic Lord's best recent efforts have been over a mile. Mean It is unexposed, however, and the step up in distance shouldn't be a problem on breeding. Highland Duke could be challenging for a place if shrugging off an absence but Thecornishcowboy is a Polytrack specialist.
