Verdict

Essenaitch has won twice around here but has taken 17 runs to reach that total. She hasn't won for over a year but has dropped to an 8lb lower mark and his young rider's claim gives her an obvious chance. Sarasota has changed hands after being beaten in a seller and a claimer while his new stable companion Top Beak finished second in a Brighton seller when last seen in September. Il Sicario hasn't won for over two years while Dawn Treader hasn't fulfilled last season's promise. HIGH ACCLAIM's last victory was in a Class 2 handicap at Doncaster but that was in March of last year. He's only been in moderate form but the booking of Silvestre De Sousa could bring about some improvement so Roger Teal's charge gets the vote.
