ABERGAVENY has looked progressive in a couple of runs and although he is not obviously thrown in on his handicap bow Mark Johnston's runner gets the nod ahead of course specialist Sequillo and the consistent Penchesco. After making a solid debut in a warm looking maiden the pick then duly stepped up on that to win last time. He makes a handicap debut off a mark of 79 and although that is not that lenient he looks booked to improve. Sequillo has won two of his four starts at this track and is given a chance on that, however, he looks a little high in the handicap after being put up 4lbs for his three length reverse on his last run. Penchesco's short head defeat at Sandown two starts back gives him a chance off this mark in this line-up while Resurge is in with a shout on the pick of his outings. Only a handful of runners and Abergaveny is a strong selection.
