There's plenty of in form animals lining up for this Apprentice Handicap making it a little hard to judge but from a short-list made up of Misaro, Bermondsey Bob and PIAZZA SAN PIETRO preference is made for the last mentioned. Andy Haynes' runner has won two of his last five outings and been in contention in the other three. He found just the one too good in claiming company last time out but his run in these ranks when besting the on-form subsequent winner Requiste last month suggest he should be winning off this mark. Misaro was only beaten home by one on his last attempt when racing under this burden. He was only beaten a length and a half by Absa Lutte when carrying more weight in the handicap at Folkestone in April and based on that should be going very close again. Bermondsey Bob is also on form having followed two narrow reverses with a close cut win of his own last time. Things will be tougher under a penalty but he might be better value for that score than the margin suggests. Sermons Mount has been runner up on his last two runs and the handicapper has taken a dim view of that fact while Headache has a likeable profile and should get involved. A tricky start to the card but marginally preference is for Piazza San Pietro.
