We start the evening with a wide open amateur riders' handicap and while Mustajed and Maslak are potentially well treated we make preference for the on form FALCON ROCK. With most of the selection's six pound penalty for a comfortable enough victory last time negated by his pilot's claim, he should continue in a rich vein of form as long, as expected, he stays this far. Mustajed's last two victories came on the all-weather surfaces the most recent off a mark five pounds higher. He is just as effective on turf so looks well weighted. Maslak finished second best off this mark last time and comes into this race better off with his jockey taking three pounds off his back. In the past he has won when 15lbs higher in the ratings and while those performances are fading memories a return to form might be on the cards. Randama Bay is capable of better than he's shown recently and as such is possibly well treated while State General looks in with a chance given his weight for age allowance. Not the most straight forward start to the card but Falcon Rock looks the the best option.
