In depth
Verdict
Andrea Gale gets the vote over The Sneakster and Tsar's Twist, with So Brash, Dillay Brook and River Tigris all worth a mention. A large field will line up for this novices' handicap hurdle, and only narrow preference is for Andrea Gale who displayed real battling qualities to prevail at Sedgefield nine days ago. She stumbled on the bend, but went on, and although headed two out, she fought back again to get up and open her handicap account. This longer trip will be in her favour, and with Evan Williams firing in the winners, she will be a popular choice. The Sneakster is still a maiden, and has been mainly confined to Ludlow this term, but is sure to make another bold bid for the frame, while Tsar's Twist is undoubtedly better treated over hurdles than fences, but is perhaps best opposed. So Brash would prefer softer ground, Dillay Brook has a long absence to overcome, and River Tigris has yet to impress. All in all, at least Andrea Gale lines up in form, and so should give you a good run for your money.
