In depth

Verdict

Tamadot caught the eye on his penultimate start when a staying on fourth ay Newbury and confirmed that promise with a hard fought victory at Warwick. Philip Hobbs' charge had some smart point-to-point form back in Ireland and his destiny is likely to be over fences but he possess some class and is a confident selection. Herecomethetruth has been given a quiet season since taking up residency at Ditcheat after impressing some shrewd judges in Irish point-to-points last season. He confirmed that engine is remains intact with a comprehensive win at Plumpton but this will be tougher. He has the stamp of a chaser so what ever he does here is a bonus. Masked Man, who finished 8l behind Master Minded in an Auteuil contest in October 2006 made a winning British debut at Towcester in differing conditions than he will encounter here. That contest was better than the average Towcester novice hurdle but this will be a stiffer test while Commander Kev is highly regarded but has been unlucky with injuries and raced too keenly for his own good at Warwick behind Tamadot. Tamadot looks an exciting prospect and is selected to get home in front again today.
