        Verdict

        Native Robin is having a good season and won here on Boxing Day, beating Lure Des Pres, Iron Mike and Mont Saint Vincent. However, the 12-year-old has never won off a mark this high. Larkbarrow Lad has tumbled to a potentially-lenient mark but it could be argued that he has never quite fulfilled expectations. ESPRIT DE SOMOZA impressed in the way he travelled over course and distance last month, readily accounting for Iron Mike with White Moon only fourth. Despite a 7lb rise, he can confirm running with those two and go in again. Oneupmanship had every chance when falling two out at Ffos Las but is giving weight to some very experienced rivals.
