Briscoe Place can gain compensation for his latest start here and get back to winning ways, with French Envoy, Sky Mack and Topamendip likely to figure. Jonjo O'Neill and Tony McCoy have begun the new season in fine style and Briscoe Place, who won at Hereford last month, was travelling well in front when blundering away his chance here last time. We don't expect him to make the same mistake twice. French Envoy is a bit of a one-pacer and his form with the useful Boychuk has not really worked out as well as it might have, although if there are any mishaps with the selection he might be good enough. Sky Mack encounters quicker conditnios than ever before and comes from a yard going very well. He should relish the step up in trip and can't be discounted, while Topamendip showed some decent enough bumper form and a good run from the Nicholls runner is anticipated, although this could be a final outing before being put away for an autumn campaign. Interesting then, and Briscoe Place fits the bill.
