Verdict

Paul Nicholls has two darts to throw with jockey bookings indicating Sergeant Thunder is the stable preferred. But he showed little on his Doncaster hurdling debut when well backed and has been rested since. He's presumably had his problems and the market may be the best guide to his chances after an absence of over 100 days. Black Cow looks nothing out of the ordinary so far and Benbecula has a job on having to carry a penalty for a previous course win. Chase The Wind should be carefully noted as he gives the impression of being considerably better than he's shown over timber so far but the choice is LOCHNAGAR. Venetia Williams' charge has found some form recently and her import has gone well on both starts since joining the yard. Good ground should suit and he should give a good account.
