In depth

Verdict

MAJOR DESTINATION, beaten a short-head on his debut between the flags a year ago, started favourite on his reappearance at Kilbeggan earlier this month but found the two mile trip too short. With his yard in good form he can gain his first victory though Bensachuine, who has had a couple of starts over hurdles, ran well on this sort of ground in bumpers last summer. Chateauneuf Du Pap has gradually improved though needs to do much better while Cottonvale should make progress from his run at Ballinrobe and he'll be suited by the longer trip.
