In depth

Verdict

China Princess would be an obvious contender if getting a run from her reserve spot after scoring on heavy going here last month. WOODBROOK BOY won over fences here in August and, though he's up 9lb for a recent victory over timber at Listowel, is still 20lb lower than his chase mark so looks the one to be on. John Adams just failed to get past the in-form Chelseas Friend at Kilbeggan though that was over an extended 3m and he's 3lb higher over this shorter trip. Queensteel was always travelling like a winner on testing ground over 3m at Tipperary and makes her handicap debut but Klassy Kay has become disappointing after winning twice in testing conditions. Galon De Vauzelle went up 9lb for a very easy victory at Ballinrobe then found 3m stretching his stamina on soft going at Tipperary. Dawson's Cottage won first time out last season so is one to note.
