Five of these were beaten favourites last time including Chrisco, who probably found 2m1f too short at Sligo, and Chiefs Kingdom, who found nothing from the last at Kilbeggan. Fancy A Cosmo was market leader for a Punchestown handicap and though prominent throughout didn't quite go through with it. Suttons Hill was conceding 5lb when beaten a neck over two miles at Listowel and is better over this trip but this can go to VALSORPRESA. Gordon Elliott's charge was well supported for his hurdling debut at Down Royal and did well to finish as close as he did as his saddle slipped and his rider lost his irons. Littlefoot and Master Splinter are others to note in a stronger than usual maiden.
