Hand In My Pocket is penalised for her bumper victory but has looked in need of this trip in her two starts over timber. Flamin Aimee didn't show much in bumpers or between the flags but it was a different matter on her hurdling debut where she belied a 50/1 SP with a fine run over 2m5f at Ballinrobe. Little Lady Lu followed a neck defeat over 2m4f at Kilbeggan with a poor run over this trip on the same track so the vote goes to MARY OF DE SORROWS, who showed that stamina was her forte when a very good third over an extended 3m in a Downpatrick handicap. Coosan Clover, who ran out at Kilbeggan early last month, behaved herself at Clonmel on Thursday though never looked like winning.
