In depth

Verdict

Peregrine Run is running so well that he'll be fancied to concede weight to some useful rivals. Peter Fahey's charge completed his hat-trick with a comprehensive victory over Jett at Punchestown last month, his eighth victory in 15 starts over fences, and will take some beating in that kind of form. However, CONRAD HASTINGS (NAP), who only had three runs last season and is likely to be warming up for another crack at the Galway Plate, was only beaten half-a-length by him in a novices' chase at Killarney in 2017 off level weights and he looked as good as ever on his reappearance at Kilbeggan. Crosshue Boy hasn't done as well as expected after landing a lucrative novices' handicap at Ayr last year while Mill Quest was put in his place at Listowel on his hat-trick attempt.
