In depth

Verdict

Gordon Elliott runs both winning bumper and hurdler Invincible Cave and The Big Lense, who Davy Russell rode when a fine second to stable companion Count Simon on his chasing debut at Punchestown. The latter looks a decent prospect in this sort of company though may find PLAN OF ATTACK too good for him here. Henry De Bromhead's charge, a dual hurdles winner under Barry O'Neill, made a very promising start over fences behind the odds-on Go Another Go at Clonmel with Invincible Cave behind and can go one better. Dorans River, three times a winner over hurdles, failed to complete in his two starts over fences in October and has another attempt.
