EMBITTERED has a chase rating of 143 which would normally be good enough for a Wexford beginners' chase. He hasn't shown the expected improvement from a close second to Andy Dufresne in a Navan Grade 3 but this is his easiest task to date despite stronger-than-average opposition. Raya Time looked a likely future winner when runner-up in a tough Festival handicap at Punchestown but a bad mistake on a return visit put paid to his chances. One Down made a very promising start over fences at Kilbeggan but has something to find with the principals on hurdles ratings but Poseidon has some decent form over timber and is interesting on his first start over fences. The selection's stable companion Cerberus has won a Grade 3 over hurdles and would have finished closer on his chasing bow but for a couple of late mistakes.
