In depth

Verdict

Mr Caplan had shown promise in an Ayr bumper and did so again on his hurdling debut at Downpatrick when chasing home Charlie Siringo. General Clermont was narrowly beaten over 2m at Clonmel though was well behind on his only start at this trip. Quirt Evans started favourite for a Cork handicap on the back of a placed effort at Limerick but disappointed while LEAC AN SCAIL LADY was also well supported over this track and trip but found one too good. Henry De Bromhead's mare is taken to go one better with Rachael Blackmore taking over.
