In depth

Verdict

Dual bumper winner Mr Jackman was narrowly beaten in two starts over hurdles in the autumn but beaten a long way back in a bumper in April. Joseph O'Brien has two entries with jockey bookings suggesting Risk Factor, who started a short-priced favourite and had every chance when falling at Navan, likely to be the pick. All About Joe's close fifth in a Punchestown handicap in April was a fine effort while Merry Dreamer looked as though this sort of trip would suit when staying on over 2m4f here. LEAC AN SCAIL LADY had Rocky's Howya and O Connell Street behind when chasing home Gladiatorial over 2m6f at Downpatrick and Henry De Bromhead's progressive winning point-to-pointer can gain her first victory under Rules.
