Verdict

Quantum Realm appreciated stepping up to 2m7f at Downpatrick but was beaten a long way when favourite behind Fest Deiz in a Kilbeggan handicap in May and the winner should confirm the form. GLOBAL EQUITY was very highly tried after landing a novices' chase at Galway in October and may be warming up for the festival there but he's well enough handicapped to earn the vote. Crazywork De Vassy has been racing in point-to-points and hunter chases and could find this tougher but Na Caith Tobac has an obvious chance of a hat-trick despite being raised 9lb for his victory at Down Royal. Arahecan, a dual winner over fences, and Limerick winner Il Courra look best of the remainder.
