Prize Ring, Tee-Jay and St Matthew rate as the principles and the vote is given to Prize Ring. The selection is slowly creeping up the weights but he is in good form at present and it could be unwise to back against him completing a hat-trick of wins on a track that clearly suits. He is upped in trip but providing he stays this far he will be difficult to beat. Tee-Jay has no trip worries and will relish the conditions, and as he won well last time when defeating Monolith at Hexham he has to be respected as a live danger to our choice. St Matthew was a faller at this track behind Mirjan last time, and providing his confidence has not been affected then he could be interesting, but Prize Ring is in fine form at present and is taken to score.
