Honan, who was formerly trained in Ireland, made a winning start in a bumper here for Martin Pipe and is taken to make a winning debut over hurdles, with Purple Patch and Seeador rated the main dangers. Chris Popham's Purple Patch makes her first start over hurdles having shown promise in bumpers and has to be respected, while Seeador has the benefit of a couple of outings over timber. Southern France has a long absence to overcome but trainer Brendan Powell is capable of producing his runners fit after a lengthy lay off so it come as no surprise to see the seven-year-old taking a hand in the finish. Rideaway Rose has failed to produce any worthwhile form over fences recently and reverts to hurdles today. She is another worthy of a mention but the vote goes to Honan.
