Stance looks to hold an outstanding chance here, with Ivorsagoodun and Scalloway looking set to fight out the places. The selection hails from the in-form father-and-son partnership of Gary and Jamie Moore and looked very progressive when landing his second hurdle win on the bounce - from just three jump races - at Wincanton 19 days ago. That sets a bar that the others look likely to fall short of. The one for the forecast could be Ivorsagoodun, whose second here over a longer trip two runs ago reads well in the context of this race, and Scalloway, a 10-furlong Flat winner whose debut third over hurdles behind It's Rumoured at Stratford in August was a reasonable effort. With Philip Hobbs' Castleboy having shown little in two runs, it will be disappointing if Stance cannot gain hurdling win number three.
