Len Lungo excels in these bumpers and Paddy The Piper makes the last of his four appearances in such a contest here. After a couple of promising efforts the gelding got his nose in front last time, appears to like decent ground and, with those experiences in the plus column, he can defy his penalty to win this. Gary's Pimpernel was a winner at Catterick on his debut and has to be respected, though it did not look to be as good a race as those contested by the selection. He also has to prove he handles quicker ground. One who will go on it is Random Native, a winner last time out at Catterick, and who has been given a break since. He can give the selection most to do.
