In depth

Verdict

The Orange Rogue completed a double on heavy going at the beginning of last year and though running poorly in two starts this campaign it wouldn't be a shock to see him bounce back. Bassarabad is back on the same mark as when successful at Warwick last February, when he had today's rival Bacchanel a length behind, and showed a bit more dash last time though there should be little between the pair again on the revised terms. Purcell's Bridge has been well beaten recently though arrives on a 3lb lower mark than when successful at Haydock in March. DICK DARSIE has been gradually improving and won comfortably enough over the course and distance on Boxing Day. He's up 6lb but that doesn't look enough to prevent a follow up.
