Verdict

CAFE AU LAIT has been market leader in his last nine starts, winning just once, here last February. He's had two runs for Dan Skelton at Plumpton without showing much improvement and is still 14lb higher than that victory but this is such a poor contest that he can provide his long suffering supporters with a victory. Winning point-to-pointer Indian Reel got the heavy ground he needs when producing an improved performance at Warwick and should get into contention while Age Of Glory was returning from a long break at Newcastle last month and ran well for a long way. This looks a bit short for Log On, a winner between the flags, and though Verano has dropped 8lb since his last run he's been badly out of form. Bandol looks best of the remainder.
