Bertie Lugg made a promising comeback over the minimum at Doncaster last month before a facile victory over two opponents on heavy ground at Southwell. He hasn't had much racing and should be capable of better though a 9lb rise looks harsh. Chasma has won two of her last three and looked a progressive mare at Sedgefield so she should make a bold bid to defy an 8lb hike in the weights. POLARBROOK has been racing in slightly better company since his victory at Southwell and his narrow defeat at Doncaster from just 2lb lower than today gives him the edge. Lowcarr Motion has been threatening to win for some time but keeps letting supporters down while Jellied Eel Jack has a very big weight to carry for what he's achieved. Needwood Park is still a maiden after 29 starts and Nicki's Nipper is 5lb out of the handicap.
