Secret Ploy, Mount Clerigo and Classical Ben look to be the leading players here and the nomination is given to Mount Clerigo. The selection is lightly-raced and won well last time out when beating Leading Man. He has conditions to suit here and looks to have a great opportunity of getting his head in front again here. Classical Ben was a little disappointing last time but he will probably be better over further and for that reason he is passed over. Secret Ploy was one of the top bumper horses of last season, but although he ran well when second behind Gold Medallist last time, he still has plenty to prove over hurdles and at the likely odds he may be best watched on this occasion. One Five Eight is from a shrewd yard and is worth noting in the market, although his jumping has been far from convincing so far, and for the winner we return to Mount Clerigo.
