If MANOR PARK can run to the mark the assessor has given him on his first British hurdles start, then he looks likely to be too good for Whispering Death, in a race low on substance. Now with Timmy Vaughan, who is notorious for getting improvement out of those he welcomes on board, Manor Park put in some highly respectable performances when under the tutelage of Jessica Harrington, especially in the context of this moderate affair. Vaughan has clearly looked to get him off the mark first time and if he handles the ground here then there is every chance he will do that. Whispering Death is a proven stayer on the flat, with a penchant for hearing his hooves rattle. He ran well here in defeat over 2m 4f in March, though was out of sorts thereafter last season. This trip is plenty short enough for him, but with the stable going so well it would be churlish to dismiss him out of hand. Fell Pack is a moderate 50s-rated performer on the level and he appears to prefer slower ground, and Fareeha fits a similar profile. Count Ceprano was slightly better on the level and acts on fast ground, though he never won beyond 9f and even this trip might test his stamina. Manor Park is the selection here.
