Verdict

Northern Rambler Casas and Silver Dagger look the three to concentrate on in this dreadful seller and the nomination is given tom Northern Rambler. The selection is on a very lenient mark and with his conditional taking off another handy 10 pounds he will be hard to beat off this mark and with conditions to suit he is impossible to oppose. Casas rates the main danger as he is dropping in class and is another that has conditions to suit but his stable has been badly out of form of late so he can not be put forward with any confidence. Silver Dagger is another worthy of respect but he has yet to win over a trip this far before and for that reason he is over looked. Of the remainder Son of Man is another that could go well but he is far from consistent and in a race where the stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Northern Rambler.
