Verdict

King's Counsel produced an excellent effort back over hurdles at Market Rasen last month, finishing second to the progressive Royale's Charter. But he's been put up 8lb by the handicapper, which seems harsh. AP McCoy is an interesting jockey booking for the hat-trick-seeking Sharadiyn though he, too, has shot up the weights since completing a double at Southwell in the summer. Lap Of Honour and Glorybe both return from a break but Danceintothelight has been in action on the Flat and Joe Colliver reduces his welter burden by 7lb. CUNNING CLARETS was highly tried in the spring and will have needed his run at Market Rasen in August - Richard Fahey's unexposed six-year-old may be the one to beat today.
