An uninspiring contest filled with mainly disappointing performers but Intrepid Mogal has some respectable recent form and may provide the answer. The son of Terimon put up a fair effort when a close second on his first start for eight months in a similar event at Huntingdon in January and confirmed the view when chasing home the smart Joly Bey over three miles at Chepstow late last month. With few miles on the clock, there is every reason to believe that there may be further improvement to come and he should give a good account under a useful conditional rider. Mr Christie has claims on his second at Haydock in December but has twice disappointed since while Kippanour faces no easy task under top weight. The Kew Tour is likely to need this after an absence of 11 months but Maraud followed November's Catterick win with a fair effort in defeat last time and this represents a drop in grade.
