In depth

Verdict

Crest has not been enjoying the soft ground this season and should do better on this surface, though needs to turn around recent course form with Lough Salt. Abbreviate is now 0-10 over fences so may not have much scope, though he was only beaten half-a-length at Exeter when last seen. My Old Gold is jumping fences late in life and returning from a break but has won two points and a hurdle. BLUE FLIGHT won a maiden hurdle at Perth last spring but has always looked a chaser in the making and has already won between the flags. He looks better handicapped than Grand Morning, pulled up on his chasing bow at Carlisle but still lightly raced.
