This looks an above-average maiden as The Knot Is Tied made much of the running when third in a better race at Newbury and won over 2m on the Flat. Lisheen Castle ran in a Listed race as a two-year-old and is one of only two Nicky Henderson runners on today’s card. Statuario won twice on the level and Doctor Jazz won at Windsor in August for Richard Hannon, though seems best on faster surfaces. We’ll take on a chance of fellow newcomer QAWAMEES, who has joined Mick Easterby after finishing second four times on the Flat for Ed Dunlop. A switch to hurdles might well suit and he could prove a bargain at 20,000gns.
