In depth

Verdict

Main Fact arrives on a four-timer and his stable is in cracking form. Despite a marked step up in grade, he should be hard to beat with Fergus Gillard taking off 7lb. Secrete Stream had Khage back in third when a surprise winner here last month but the latter is now 4lb better off. Gennady has switched stables since scoring at Newcastle in January while Baracalu may be in the handicapper’s grip but Mcgowan's Pass came up against a well-treated rival over 2m5f at Kelso after winning at Ayr and will appreciate the drop back in trip. FLEGMATIK (NAP) ran well in the Betfair Hurdle after finishing second here in November. He’ll strip fitter today and his overall form compares favourably with these.
