Trafalgar Day can land the finale at the expense of Scottish River and Agilete. Trafalgar Day is on a retrieval mission here after losing out narrowly at Ayr six-days ago. Sent on two furlongs out, he was caught right on the line by Kyber, going down by a head. That was an apprentice affair, and he is now partnered by the trainer's son as he bids to go one better. The drop back in trip is a negative, but his stamina will come into play on the ground, and he can register career win number two. Scottish River is better known for his all-weather exploits these days, but has won on Turf with cut in the ground in the past, and does not appear too badly treated for this step back up in trip. Agilete gained his sole victory on the all-weather last year and is hard to fancy on recent form, but Simon Pearce is one of the better amateur pilots here, so the five-year-old cannot be totally left out of calculations either. However, Trafalgar Day has much more going for him and is the one to be on.
