Feeling Wonderful is the pick over the likes of Apache Nation, The Grey One and Very Well Red. Mark Johnston does very well during the summer when pitching his three-year-olds into handicaps against older opposition, and we intend monitoring such runners very closely over the next few weeks. One such animal is Feeling Wonderful who has a choice of entries this week. A daughter of the stable's triple Group winner Fruits Of Love, she looked one to follow when making a winning debut on soft ground at Catterick last year. Found wanting on her first try on Kempton's Polytrack surface eight days ago, she will appreciate both the drop in grade and return to more suitable terrain, so should run a big race against her elders. Apache Nation carries a 6lb penalty for his two-and-a-half length defeat of The Grey One at Ripon last week, and is not certain to maintain that form on today's terms, but both will at least handle the ground, and should be in the shake-up. Very Well Red saw her winning run come to an end at Hamilton, and off topweight now, plus the fact that she is not certain to go on the ground, she is not easy to fancy. Attacca did not run too badly when third at Musselburgh last time, showing signs of a return to form, and has won in a bog in the past, so has to merit a mention, but are siding with Feeling Wonderful.
