Excessive has shown enough this term to warrant support here and gets the vote ahead of Bold Bobby and Navene. Once again, the prospect of lining up on heavy ground has put quite a few off, and Excessive only has five rivals to worry about. She has finished runner-up on both starts since returning to the fray, at Nottingham and Folkstone, going down narrowly each time. She handles the ground on the evidence so far, and will not mind the step back up to six furlongs, so has plenty going for her today. Bold Bobby put in a promising effort when fifth on her Yarmouth debut a fortnight ago, and is another that should go on the ground, but Navene has it to prove on that score. However, she did look green at Newbury on her second career outing, and so can only improve. Any support for the John Quinn debutant Lempicka should be noted, but Excessive has leading claims and is a confident choice.
