In depth

Verdict

Generous Day returns to the scene of his only victory so far over fences and is only 3lb higher. He makes more appeal than Dustin Des Mottes, whose stable remains out of sorts. Bandsman will need to jump much better if he is to make a chaser so this can go to A LITTLE MAGIC. The J P McManus-owned gelding is having a first run since falling at Uttoxeter in May 2017 but has an excellent strike-rate over the larger obstacles and is the type to go well fresh.
