Verdict

Six runners go to post for this fascinating handicap, Red Oassis and Jupon Vert will have their supporters but Reach The Clouds looks the one to be on. John Upson's gelding finally found the winners enclosure, after a two and a half year wait, when getting the better of Harik at Plumpton earlier this month, this opposition appears to be of a similar class so a quick double looks on the cards. Red Oassis beat the selection at Chepstow back in march but will find it very difficult to confirm the form at today's weights. So that leaves Jupon Vert as the major threat after finishing a gallant runner up just five days ago in decent handicap at Chepstow, that was the gelding's first outing since June so improvement must be forthcoming. Martin Pipe's Damus may be out of form but should still be checked out in the betting market, however Reach The Clouds is the pick on this occasion.
